The 2024 BRIT Awards are over!

The annual British Music Awards were broadcast live from London’s O2 Arena on ITV1 and ITVX on Saturday.

RAYE was in contention for the most awards at this year’s ceremony with seven nominations, breaking the record for most BRIT awards in one year. Central Cee and J Hus followed with four nods each, while Dua Lipa got three.

Ahead of the event, it was revealed that RAYE had been awarded Songwriter of the Year, which was decided by an expert judging panel. “I’m so honored and delighted, honestly, to receive this prestigious award for Songwriter of the Year, it’s my first BRIT Award and I will treasure this trophy very much,” she said at the BRIT Awards.

“I’m so grateful to be recognized as a songwriter because it’s a craft I’m so passionate about and have been since I started my journey as a musician, and I’m very grateful to those who voted for me to receive this award,” added the “Escapisma” singer. .

Another producer of the year award decided by the panel went to Chase & Status, who have made music with artists including Rihanna, Rita Ora and Snoop Dogg.
