Dorit Kemsley is worried about how Kyle Richards’ marital difficulties have prompted her noticeable lifestyle changes.
In Wednesday’s episode The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsthe fashion designer, 47, expressed concern about her friend and her exercise habits and newfound sobriety.
“You think that not drinking and distancing yourself for even a minute was an attempt to protect yourself, to take control, because you obviously had trauma from the fight with your sister [Kathy Hilton],” she told Kyle over lunch during the cast’s trip to Las Vegas. “It’s traumatic.”
“Maybe,” said Kyle, 54, admitting that Dorit’s statement might contain some truth. “I mean, I’m not a psychologist, but I don’t know.”

When the mother of two claimed that Kyle didn’t have to “justify” her new lifestyle, Halloween the actress noted that Dorit wasn’t the only one to comment.
“I think Kyle’s choice not to drink has allowed her to be more in control of everything,” Dorit told the cameras before admitting to Kyle that her questions about her sobriety may have selfish motives. “When I goof around and say, ‘Oh, Kyle, come on!’ This is because we have seven years of history. And when we go on trips like this, you know, you and I kind of relax and do stupid things and have fun, and I missed that.”

“I think considering what my relationship is like now,” she continued in the confessional. “I’m not happy. Now I’m kind of working on myself inside and I feel like he’s very focused on his work. I don’t want to wake up, you know, a few years later and say, ‘Who are you?'”
