Diane Kruger Posts Rare Video of Daughter, 4, in New York City, Thanks FDNY for ‘Making Nova’s Night’

Diana Kruger’s daughter is now a happy four-year-old!

On Tuesday, the actress, 47, shared a sweet video on Instagram revealing that her little girl’s night was made possible thanks to the New York City Fire Department.

In the cute post, Nova walked down the street wearing a red firefighter helmet with her dad Norman Reedus by her side.

“Best job ever, yeah,” said actor Reedus, 54, as he turned to the camera, seemingly talking to his daughter, before taking her hand. While it was unclear if the family visited a specific FDNY station, Kruger shared that her daughter enjoyed the dinner.

“NYC Strong @fdny ❤️🌈🙏 Thank you for everything you do, especially for making New Night ❤️,” Kruger captioned the clip.

Kruger and Reedus welcomed Nova in November 2018. The couple met on the set of the 2015 film. The sky and went public with their relationship in March 2017. In August 2021, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that they were engaged.

Nova is Kruger’s first child and Reedus’ second. The walking dead the star is also the father of a 23-year-old son, Mingus, from his relationship with supermodel Helena Christensen.

In a May 2022 interview with PEOPLE, Kruger revealed her daughter’s name while discussing her children’s book, A name from heaven.

Revealing how she and Reedus decided on the nickname Nova and middle name Tennessee, Kruger said, “I got it late in life at 42, and [Norman] had a child when he was much younger. ‘Nova’ in Latin means a new beginning, and a new star changes and is reborn. And we love Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains; we do motorcycle tours there.”

Kruger went on to admit that she was surprised by “how much” she loved motherhood after giving birth to Nova.

“I wanted to be a mom and I was sure that I would like it, but only the magnitude of the desire to be there every second, not to miss anything,” she said.

“[Nova] was a surprise. “I thought it wasn’t going to happen, and she came into my life when I was ready,” he said National treasure star added. “I’m thankful that this happened for me and our family. She changed my world and the way I look at everything.”
