Brittany Cartwright Shares Which Cosmetic Procedure Gave Her a 'Confidence Boost’ amid Jax Taylor Divorce (Exclusive)

Brittany Cartwright has been sharing her life on TV since joining Vanderpump Rules 2015, last time on VPR spinoff Valley. For the past few years, she has spoken about her struggle to feel comfortable in her body after giving birth to her son Cruz in April 2021.

“I’ve been very open about my weight loss journey,” Cartwright, 35, tells PEOPLE. “Even with all the weight I’ve lost, there are still so many problem areas that I can’t fix, no matter what I do.”

Brittany Cartwright says decision to end ‘toxic relationship’ with Jax Taylor and file for divorce ‘wasn’t taken lightly’

To help her feel better about her appearance, Cartwright turned to AirSculpt, an FDA-approved minimally invasive body contouring treatment designed to permanently remove fat and tighten skin while sculpting targeted areas of the body. Cartwright got the idea from her colleague Kristen Doute.

“After seeing Kristen do AirSculpt and how amazing it worked for her, I knew it was something I had to try,” Cartwright says, adding that her lower abdomen “was my biggest concern.”

So she consulted with Dr. Aaron Rollins at the Miami Clinic and had the treatment done over Memorial Day weekend this year. Cartwright’s Valley castmate and best friend from college Zack Wickham joined her in the room as she underwent Stomach AirSculpt+ as well as skin tightening.

“It was so great,” Cartwright says of the treatment, which does not require anesthesia. “That was something I was a bit worried about, because it could be really scary. [But] I didn’t feel anything. I remember listening to Little Wayne, Miranda Lambert and Zack trying to make me laugh. I felt super comfortable.”

Cartwright also had minimal downtime, as she and Wickham went out to dinner on the same night of her treatment.

“I wore really tight compressions for a couple of weeks to keep everything where you want it and just to feel good,” Cartwright says. “It will continue to work for six months and over time I will continue to lose weight. I have already seen such good results. I’ll be back for repairs; I will do it again.”

Cartwright says she always planned to have a “mommy makeover” but wanted to have more children with estranged husband Jax Taylor, from whom she filed for divorce in August. Amid their breakup, Cartwright says expanding her family “isn’t going to happen anytime soon.”

This does not mean that she gives hope. “[I’m] I’m not saying I never will — who knows what the future holds? I’m just enjoying this time, trying to get my glow back and trying to feel like me again. AirSculpt gave me an instant confidence boost.”

“A lot of people don’t realize how important something like this is to someone like me,” she continues. “I think everyone could see that I didn’t have confidence last season. And I feel like I feel a lot better in my clothes now. I feel more like me. I’m much happier. I put myself first and I definitely feel a lot more confident overall.”
