Brittany Daniel’s daughter, Hope, is celebrating one strange birthday!

The Sweet Valley High The alum, 47, celebrated her daughter Hope’s 2nd birthday with an insect-themed party, which she documented on Instagram on Sunday.

The outdoor party was complete with fun costumes and bug-themed candy, as well as lots of bubbles.

For her special day, Hope dressed up as a little ladybug, while her mom wore a realistic butterfly clip in her hair. Daniel’s husband, real estate agent Adam Touni, also went all out, dressing up in full beekeeping gear.

Other costumes at the party included Wonder Woman, a pumpkin, and Bumblebee ( transformers character, not a bug).

Daniel celebrated the colorful party in the caption of his post, writing: “Celebrating our hope’s second birthday!”

“Thank you to the group of friends and family that you love and support the most!” she continued. “Make living in Northern California feel like home. I really can’t thank you all enough.”

The white girls the actress went on to give special thanks to Touni for being “the most caring, loving and supportive husband and dad.”

The brokerage associate also shared his own post dedicated to his little one’s milestone.

“Happy 2nd Birthday Hope Rose Touni!” he wrote. “You are the greatest gift imaginable. We love you.”

When the couple first found out they were pregnant in 2021, Daniel and Touni could hardly contain their excitement.

“We’re terrified of being parents,” Daniel told PEOPLE at the time. “This has been a long time coming and we are very much looking forward to holding our baby in our arms.”

The actress added, “I’m looking forward to being able to pass on unconditional love, wisdom and life lessons. We can’t wait for the opportunity to show our first child the world.”

Daniel, who became famous with her identical twin sister Cynthia Sweet Valley High in the ’90s, she welcomed Hope via IVF in October 2021 with the help of her twin.

After her journey with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which she was diagnosed with in 2011, the actress learned she had a depleted egg supply and may never be able to have children on her own, she told PEOPLE in 2022.

After a fertility specialist brought up the idea of ​​egg donation, Daniel’s twin didn’t hesitate to donate her own eggs.

“We are so intertwined,” Daniel told PEOPLE. “All that is hers is mine, and all that is mine is hers.”

New motherhood was “better than I ever thought it could be,” the actress added at the time. “My sister made my dreams come true.”
