GATE 2024 Registrations: Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru has started the registration process for Graduate Engineering Aptitude Test (GATE) 2024 early morning today: August 31, 2023, in online mode. Candidates who are interested in applying for the Post Graduate Engineering Entrance Test can fill the application form at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
The examination body will close the application period on September 29, 2023 (no late fee). While GATE 2024 entrance exam is scheduled on 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th February 2024 for 30 papers for admission to MTech programs offered at IIT.

GATE 2024 Application Fee
Candidates can pay the application fees mentioned in the table below:

Documents required for GATE 2024
Candidates are advised to keep the below mentioned documents ready with them as they have to upload valid documents at the time of filling GATE 2024 form.
- Photo of the candidate
- Candidate’s signature
- Scanned copy of category certificate (SC/ST) in pdf format (if any)
- Scanned copy of PwD certificate in pdf format (if required)
- Scanned copy of Dyslexia Certificate in pdf format (if available)
- Scanned copy of valid photo IDs: Aadhar-UID (preferred)/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Driving Licence.

Candidates can go through the below mentioned steps to know how to fill GATE 2024 application form.
Step 1: Go to the official website of GATE – gate2024.iisc.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the direct link to register
Step 3: Register using required details like mobile number, name and email id
Step 4: Login using the newly generated details and fill the login form
Step 5: Now upload valid documents
Step 6: Save the form after submitting the application fee
Step 7: Print it for future reference
Who is eligible for GATE 2024?
Candidates appearing for the GATE 2024 exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.
- Candidates who are in the pre-final or final year of their qualifying degree can also apply for GATE.
- Those candidates who have obtained/obtaining their qualifying degree in countries other than India: Must be currently in third year or higher or have completed a degree (duration: minimum 3 years) in Engineering/Technology/Science/Arts/Commerce.
GATE 2024 Exam Pattern
As per the given details, GATE 2024 exam will be conducted in English language in computer based test (CBT) mode for 3 hours duration at selected centers in selected cities. Candidates can check the GATE exam pattern in the table below:
