It’s no surprise that Patrick is honing his hair braiding skills as he and his wife, who are also parents to 2-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes II, are expecting their third child together. The new baby is a girl, the couple announced in a joint Instagram post on July 19.
The couple found out the baby’s gender when their daughter Sterling played a game of Tic-Tac-Toe, revealing three pink X’s in a row.

“I always wanted to have children young. I had to grow up in the locker room, I think I’ve talked about it before — it had a big impact on my life, so I wanted to have little kids,” said Patrick, whose father is a retired MLB pitcher.
Noting that Brittany is “doing a great job” as a wife and mother, he said the two continue to “go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things.”
