Brittany Snow Shares a ‘Basic Selfie’ and Reveals She’s Gone Blonde for Fall — See Her New Look

Brittany Snow is changing things up!

While many choose to go dark for the fall and winter months, Pitch Perfect The alum, 37, found her perfect look by doing the exact opposite.

“We’re taking a break from our regular healthy content to bring you this basic selfie,” Snow captioned a mirror image of herself sporting her new hairdo.

The actress thanked “@rickhenryla & @katesomervilleskincare for my glow.”

Snow added: “Blonde for fall? It doesn’t make much sense, but let’s do it.”

Just before that broadcast, Snow showed off another proud moment — an award from the Cordillera International Film Festival in Nevada for Best Director for a Feature Film for her project Parachute.

While holding the award, she issued a disclaimer: “Please don’t judge my windows. They are dirty and I am a very short man.”

The film premiered at SXSW in March and marked Snow’s directorial debut. She also co-wrote a romantic drama with Becca Gleason.

Parachute is set in New York City and follows a young woman with an eating disorder and addiction problems and her co-dependent partner. yellowjackets Courtney Eaton takes the lead role of a lady playing the opposite Me and Earl and the dying girlThomas Mann.

Other stars appearing in the film include Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale and Scott Mescudi (also known as Kid Cudi).

“It’s okay reviews are weird, subjective, and sometimes unhealthy… but I’m so grateful that people felt this polarizing subject and love story,” Snow said in a lengthy Instagram carousel showing multiple reviews for Parachute in August.

“I directed this little piece of my heart. (I didn’t act in it at all) I’m lucky enough to be presenting it at some fantastic film festivals coming up soon,” she added.

The Prom star noted that none of the actors who appeared in the film “will be in attendance as we stand firmly with our @sagaftra family.”

She continued: “This film was made with no money, a lot of favors, no big companies, with all my heart and no time. I’m so excited for everyone to see it. 🪂🪂🪂.”

In June, PEOPLE spoke with Snow at the premiere of her new film Good half during the Tribeca Film Festival. In the interview, she talked about how she navigated her new normal after her divorce from Tyler Stanaland.

“I think everyone goes through really tough times and then it’s all about our perspective and how we’re going to deal with it, right?” the Hair spray said the star. “Because no one is immune to difficult periods in life. And all I try to do is focus on myself and shut out the noise.”

Snow and the current star I am selling OC married in March 2020. She then filed for divorce in January, just four months after the former couple announced they were separating in September 2022.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the Tribeca Film Festival, she revealed how good it was to work with co-star Nick Jonas, who plays her brother in the film, because it felt like real family.

“I’m a fan of Nick Jonas, specifically. Especially after making this movie,” Snow said. “I love him like a brother because we got to play brother and sister, but I got to know him as a man and as a person and as a brother. I think he’s so talented and also very, very good a person who deserves all the success. And you know, that’s hard to achieve, when you’re so successful and you deserve it all, so I just wish him the best.”
