Brooke Shields is transparent about the ups and downs of her sex life.
In Chapter 10 of his new book, Brooke Shields must not age, The 59-year-old model-actress talks about how her relationship with sex has changed as she’s gotten older.
“I had a burning sex drive when I was young, but I never felt I could step into that appetite the way I wanted to,” she wrote, recalling losing her virginity to her college boyfriend when she was 22. “I waited so long because I had the weight of the world on me. Even when we started sleeping together, I never let go.”
“Oh, how I wish I could just let lust take over me!” she added.
But looking back, Shields said her sex drive in her early 20s couldn’t be more different than it is today.
“And now here I am, over thirty-five years later, sometimes I pretend to be asleep when I know Chris is in a mood. And that has nothing to do with Chris – he’s hot!” she wrote about her longtime husband Chris Henchy.
“I go through all the body crap that comes with aging as a woman, even at the best of times – thinning hair and peach fuzz and brand new belly fat and vaginal dryness and a waning sex drive – and in my natural state I feel less attractive to him than ever ago.”

When Shields’ doctor recently asked her about her sex life, she explained what was going on, but said she was “okay with it.” However, her doctor did not accept that answer. The Blue lagoon the star said that the doctor gave her a lecture about how important sex is to a relationship and that she needs to balance her hormones.
“But on a personal level, I’m in a place where sex can be painful,” she said in the book.
Shields said her pain was the result of a male doctor — whom she called “Dr. Abuse” — performing a “bonus” lip rejuvenation procedure without her consent several years ago.
“To be able to fully enjoy sex at this point, I need my lotions and potions, proper sleepwear (maybe calling it sleepwear is contributing to the problem), my special pillow, and maybe tequila so I can relax,” she wrote.
“The doctor told me I should start taking testosterone – sure he could get a few more whiskers, but that’s what tweezers are for – but I haven’t gotten there yet,” she continued. “For now, I’m counting on the old ‘the more you have it, the more you’ll enjoy it’ approach.”
