Brooklyn And Bailey McKnight Believe Kylie Jenner Has Stolen Their Marketing Strategies

Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight, the famous YouTuber twins, launched ITK in August 2022, a 15-pack skincare line available at Walmart. ITK stands for “in the know” and the couple is committed to informing their clients about skin care. ITK products range from cleansers and acne patches to vitamin supplements for overall skin health. The items are vegan, cruelty-free and cost $15 or less. Brooklyn and Bailey have been promoting their merchandise across all social media channels since launch, but on September 13, 2022, they have something new to offer fans on Instagram Stories.

Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight believe Kylie Jenner tricked them.

In a series of Instagram posts, the sisters claimed that Kylie Jenner had either plagiarized their idea or that their marketing team had a “similar marketing idea”. They shared some of the reasons for their feelings, starting with an Instagram clip from their clothing company, Lash Next Door. The film used a red phone with a rotating dial and a pair of hands pressing the numbers 12, 15, 22 and 5, representing the letters L, O, V and E. It’s hinted that Their upcoming launch will be on February 14, 2022.

The sisters then attached a video of Jenner’s new Kylie Cosmetics ad in the following article. Jenner’s video features a similar red phone with a rotating dial, but her phone rings. Kris Jenner, her mother, called to remind the cosmetics entrepreneur of her upcoming product launch. This is simply one of the three similarities the sister sees. Jenner apparently copied the sisters’ ITK photo for the Kylie Skin ad in another ad. Brooklyn and Bailey film their discolored masks in bed or on a wooden tub with flowers. Meanwhile, Jenner arranges her lavender bath accessories on a wooden tub stand.

Ultimately, ITK and Kylie Skin shared identical product descriptions, with Brooklyn and Bailey’s photo posted on July 9, 2022, while Jenner’s photo was posted on August 24, 2022. The twin ended her message by saying that they found the woman on TikTok regretting that Jenner was imitating her and she may not be the only victim.

Netizens’ reactions to the similarity

Brooklyn and Bailey’s Instagram story was stolen and re-shared on Tiktokroom’s original screen, with followers expressing their thoughts on the script in the comments. According to comments posted by netizens, some believe that Jenner has plagiarized them. “You should read the full article she published. “Honestly, it’s more than a coincidence,” said one.

However, others disagreed with the twins. “Like Kylie would feel the need to do it,” said one Jenner fan. Meanwhile, another noted that Jenner couldn’t reproduce them because even if they were uploaded later than the twins, the behind-the-scenes process could very well take months.

A third group believes that these terms have been used so often that they are no longer news.

“Those concepts are not creative; it’s been done so many times before,” one person noted, while another added, “Coming from someone who works in marketing: nothing unique about it all.”

Jenner has yet to respond to the allegations.
