Brooklyn Beckham and Wife Nicola Peltz Pay Tribute to Her Late Grandmother: ‘Happiest Person Ever’

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz mourn the loss of her grandmother.

The rising chef, 25, and his wife, 29, paid tribute to her grandmother Gina, also known as “Naunni”, in separate Instagram posts over the weekend following her May 17 death.

“Naunni thank you for being. You were the sweetest and happiest person ever and you taught me to find joy in everything,” Beckham wrote on May 18 in his caption alongside a collection of photos and videos.

Beckham thanked her for “always making everyone smile” and said she made people’s lives “immeasurably better”.

“I am so happy to have had the honor of being your grandson for the past 4 years,” added Beckham. “I promise to take care of Nicola and your family.”

The Cooking with Brooklyn the star’s heartfelt tribute ended with the words: “I will miss you so much x I love you so much xxxxxxx ❤️.”

A day after her husband posted his tribute, Peltz shared a touching Instagram post about her late grandmother on May 19.

“My dear angel Naunni,” Peltz began her caption. “I feel like I’ll never have the right words because I just can’t believe you’re gone. I really pray that you are at peace now. I still don’t understand where you went.”

She added: “I am sad that you will never meet my children, hug me, talk to me or see any other film I make. I am so heartbroken and miss you so much. I am so happy that you were my Naunni. You have raised the most perfect daughter whom I am lucky enough to call mom, which is my greatest gift in life.”

“You kept our family together and now I feel like we’re all lost without you. Please send me a sign that you are close to me. And yes, ‘I love you more’ 🐇🩷,” she concluded, signing off, “Love always, Your doll, Nicky.”

The death of her grandmother was first reported on May 17 by Nicole’s brother Bradley Peltz (34), who wrote: “Today we lost my angel on earth.”

The hockey player continued: “She was not only the happiest, but one of my dearest souls I have ever met. She was the light that would brighten your day. Her heart was so big that you could feel it when she smiled and she made you smile in return. May her soul rest in peace and paradise in heaven. I love you Bunny.”

Nicole’s brother Will Peltz, 37, also shared the tribute.

“I write this with a truly broken heart,” Will wrote. “Your love was unique, your smile was infectious and lit up the whole world. Those who were lucky enough to be on the other side of that smile immediately fell in love with you and you can’t blame them for that.”

Calling her an angel, Will added: “I love you deeply and forever Rest in heaven my bunny my naunni.”

Nicola previously shared a touching post about her grandmother on April 26, writing: “Being with you is literally magic, I love being with you 🙏🏼.”

She went on to share how much she loves the time they spend together.

“Thank you for teaching me how to love others so deeply and fiercely. There is not a moment next to you that I take for granted 🤍 your laugh is the best sound in the world and I want to listen to it for the rest of my life,” the Lola the actress wrote.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Nicola opened up about the special moment she shared with Naunni on her wedding day in Brooklyn in 2022. Naunni was her godmother.

“I remember … I get really nervous talking in front of people or in front of a crowd, so I was nervous about that,” Nicola said. “But right before I walked down the aisle with my dad, I heard everyone clapping and cheering. It was because [Naunni] she had her flowers and she danced down the aisle, and that makes me so happy.”
