Brooks Nader Can't Imagine a 'Better' DWTS Partner than Gleb Savchenko as a Recent Divorcée: 'I'm So Lucky'

Brooks Nader likes having Gleb Savchenko as his partner Dancing with the stars.

While talking to Party tonight at the 20th anniversary of MindUp – The Goldie Hawn Foundation on Friday, September 27, Nader, 27, was asked about how she and Savchenko, 41, bonded during her time on the show.

Last week, PEOPLE witnessed the couple boldly flaunt their PDA backstage, and they also shared a kiss during the rehearsal footage that aired.

“He’s amazing, Gleb is amazing and I’m so lucky to have him as a partner. It’s a great thing, recently divorced, to have Gleb as a partner. Can you imagine a better partner?” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit said the cover model.

In May, PEOPLE confirmed that Nader had split from her husband Billy Haire after four years of marriage, and her rep confirmed that they were “divorcing after months of living apart.” The couple married in December 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana, when Nader was 22 and Haire, an advertising executive, was 33.

During the interview with Party tonightNader insisted that this “new chapter” of her life was her “favorite” so far.

“This is my favorite chapter in my life ever, of all time. I’m so happy,” the star told the new paper.

“Obviously people talk about dating and this and that, but I just got divorced, I’m 27… he’s great, I’m really having the best time. I’m really enjoying the whole process,” she continued to Savchenko, insisting that is “grinding hard” on the dance floor, despite headlines about the couple’s potential new romance.

Nader also joked about dancing to Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” this week, saying of a rehearsal with Savchenko, “Hello! How can you not get distracted?”

Nader’s comments came after she spoke to PEOPLE about sharing a kiss with her dance partner, along with a snort, before their quick-step to Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” on last week’s show.

“We were getting into character,” she insisted.

“When we’re dancing with each other for five hours a day, we’re so close and personal and she looks like that, we just develop that kind of chemistry,” Savchenko — who revealed he split from model Elena Belle in April after nearly three years together — admitted of his and the Nader connection.

“It’s natural and it’s great. We hang out and just have a good time, live life,” he added.

Dancing with the stars airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on ABC and Disney+ and airs the following day on Hulu.
