BSF Tradesman Recruitment 2022

Recently in January, the start of New Year, mid-January BSF has announced an official notification. This recruitment is for candidates who are attracted and find themselves physically fit for defense jobs. There is a total of 2651 vacancies are for males and 137 vacancies for females. This is an entry-level post that means Constable.

The interested and eligible candidate should make sure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria be it educational qualification or physical standards. BSF Tradesman Eligibility Criteria 2022

Since this is opening for security forces so it becomes mandatory that candidates must be physically sound and fit. Going to the educational qualification the candidate should be minimum passed the Matric Class; along with it, work experience is also necessary. For this, there is a requirement of two years working experience in respective trade.

The other option is that candidates who do not have work experience can show a one-year certificate course from the Industrial Training Institute and any vocational Institute with at least one year of experience in the trade. The aspirants can show a two-year diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or related trade.

Age:

Now as you know age is an important factor in any competitive examination. It demands physical fitness. The age of aspirants should be min. 18years and max. 23years on 1^st Aug 2022. However, relaxation is also provided to desirable candidates belonging to different categories like SC/ST/OBC.

Physical Standard for Male & Female Applicants

Male:

 ST/ Adivasis of all states UT, height should be 62.5cm; the chest should be 66-81cm.

Men those who belong to special categories like Garwalis Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh regions will have 165cm, chest should be 78-83cm.

The remaining states will have a requirement with a height is 167.5cm and the chest should be 78-83cm

All other candidates will have a height of 167.5 cm and a chest of 78 to 83 cm.

Females:

Female candidates will have a height of 150cm whereas women belonging to specific categories like Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh regions.

 The remaining states will have a height of 157 cm.

Salary Structure

The pay scale will be level-3 i.e. Rs 21,700-69100/- applicable in the 7^th pay structure. It is combined with other benefits given by the central government to its employees and revised from time to time. There are various types of grants provided by the central government such as Ration allowance, medical relief, free of cost residence facility, free pass for holiday and like this many other benefits as well.

Examination fee

The candidates should note the examination fee before applying. As per the official notification, it is Rs. 100 only for candidates of General/EWS (Economically Weaker Section)/ OBC (Other Backward Classes). The other candidates like women, SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), Ex-servicemen need not pay the fees. There are various modes of fee payment available including Net banking, credit or debit card, or any nearby located recognized service center.

Phases of BSF Tradesman Examination 2022

There will be three phases of selection for candidates

• Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Trade Test
• Written Examination
• Medical test

Physical Test

First of all height of the candidate will be checked, if it satisfies then it qualifies for the next test. After this test, there will be a race of 5km which should be finished in 24 minutes for male candidates.

The Female candidates will have to participate in a race of 1.6 km that should be finished within the period of 8:30min.

After this clear test, there will be the identification of bio-metric followed by verification of documents or certificates. Please note that this test will have a contribution to the merit list candidates just have to clear it. Please ex-servicemen will have no physical test. Also, this test is done only to certify the physical fitness of candidates; it does not contribute to the merit list.

Trade Test

The selected candidates in physical tests will have to undergo trade tests. In this, candidates will have their respective trade test is also for proving the eligibility of the candidate in their fields & does not have any value in the merit list. These trades include Cobbler, Trader, Cook, Water Carrier, Washed, Sweeper, Barber, Carpenter, Electrician, sweeper, Draftsman, Waiter & Mali. Written Examination (100 Marks)

After clearing the first phase of the second phase of the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Trade Test. There will be a written test that will carry a maximum of 100 marks. The test will be offline i.e., on an OMR sheet and objective in nature. The minimum passing marks for candidates are different based on his/her category i.e., 35% for general category / EWS, Ex-serviceman, 33% for SC/ST & OBC.

Medical Test

The candidates qualifying in the first and second phases will have a medical test in the third and last phase of this recruitment process.

To get selected for the above central jobs candidates will have to clear all three phases of the examination process.

Step 2: After clicking a new page will appear in which personal information will be asked Name, Email Id, and then the Mobile number. After filling in all information in these required fields, click on Generate OTP button.

Step 3: After clicking, candidates will obtain the registration ID and password on their already registered email id and mobile number.
