Bunnie Xo said she started taking a low dose of the weight loss drug tirzepatide – but has yet to experience a reduction in appetite.
“I’m hungry as hell,” Bunnie, 44, said in the latest episode of her podcast Stupid blondewhere she revealed she was “on my second day of tirzepatide.”
“Okay? I don’t know. I still woke up a pound and a half lighter, but man, I can eat,” said Bunnie, who is on the road with her husband, country star Jelly Roll, on his Beautifully Broken tour.
“It’s like I’m starving right now. I’m ready to eat again,” shared Bunnie. “I ate a lot more calories today, but I’m eating, like, a bunch of healthy stuff, like protein and vegetables.”

Bunnie Xo recalls the first time she laid eyes on husband Jelly Roll: ‘What is this man?’
“Why am I so hungry on this s—t?” she asked.
Previously approved for the treatment of diabetes, tirzepatide received FDA approval for weight loss when a clinical trial showed that high doses of tirzepatide helped patients lose about 52 lbs. — or an average of 22.5% of their body weight.
The drug — which is given by injection into the thigh, abdomen or arm — not only suppresses appetite, but also improves the way the body breaks down sugar and fat.
It’s usually sold under the Mounjaro or Zepbound brands, but Bunnie didn’t specify if she uses either.
However, she said she doesn’t take the full dose because she doesn’t generally use medication.

“I was so afraid to take it, man,” said Bunnie. “I was so afraid to take it that I had nightmares the day before… I have nothing in my body.”
“I’m 100% all natural,” she continued. “Literally, I have nothing in my system. So it’s a big decision for me to even take tirzepatide. So I had a nightmare about it the night before.”

She shared that she saw too many TikTok videos of content creators sharing bad experiences with the drug, which influenced her decision to start with a lower dose.
“I was scared and I take it in a microdose. I don’t start at a normal level,” Bunnie explained.
However, even with the lower dose, she said she felt some, hmmside effects.

“I have no brains,” said Bunnie. “I got sick too. I felt like I was going to throw up, so I had to eat a watermelon, and then I felt better. And, like, I had a little wave of some stuff today, but I got through it.”
And now, Bunnie says, “I’m really hungry.”
And as she repeated: “I woke up a kilogram and a half lighter.” So we’ll see how it goes.”
