Bunnie Xo Reveals Why She and Jelly Roll Aren't 'Buying Each Other Gifts' for Their Next Anniversary

No gifts will be exchanged at Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll’s next anniversary celebration.

Bunnie, 44, opened up about her relationship with the “Save Me” singer on the latest episode of her Stupid blonde podcast and explained how they became “more purposeful” as their romance developed.

In response to a fan’s question about how they keep their marriage “spicy,” the internet personality opened up about how they take the time to spend alone with each other and recently both watched a marathon The mayor of Kingstown and Mare of Easttown as a couple.

“My husband is Venus in Capricorn, so he’s not romantic at all. Venus in Capricorn is turned on by hard work,” she said. “We’re just both goal-oriented. For our anniversary this year, we’re not buying each other gifts. We’re donating to charity. That makes us feel good.”

Bunnie continued, “We’re at a point right now where we both just want to be purposeful. We want to be useful. We want to change other people’s lives, because we’ve already changed our own, so now it’s our time to give back.”

She then talked about how spending time on the road — Jelly’s Beautifully Broken Tour begins Aug. 27 — allows them to bond with each other even more.

“Touring together really brings us together because one, we’re working, but two, we’re forced to face each other all the time, ’cause I’m very picky about where I show up,” Bunnie said. “He hates it. If my husband had his way, I’d be by his side at every appearance.”

She continued, “I’m like, ‘You signed up to be a country star, not me. I have a house where I’m creating content and I’m perfectly happy with that.’ My new thing is like, ‘I’m going on tour with you, you got me for three months, f*ck, don’t ask for anything else.'”

Bunnie described Jelly as “my best fucking friend” and stated, “When she’s natural like that, you don’t have to focus on keeping her spicy. You just do it.”

In April, the “Need a Favor” singer talked to PEOPLE about his relationship with Bunnie. “It wasn’t always Hallmark cards and Care Bears, and we had to put in a lot of work to be together, and it paid off,” he said at the time.

Jelly continued, “It was worth every second. It was worth every disagreement. It was worth every split. All roads led back to the North Star which was all love. We’re in a light phase now.”
