Bunnie XO is ready to immerse herself in the role of mom.
The podcaster, 44, born Alyssa DeFord, spoke on the Thursday, Jan. 2, episode of her podcast Stupid blonde with a psychic medium and opened up about how she has experienced several pregnancy losses in the past and now feels ready to become a parent.
Bunnie, who is married to country singer Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, is stepmother to Jelly’s two children – Bailee Ann, 15, and Noah Buddy, 7.
“I feel like I’ve healed so much trauma with my parents that I’m finally ready to be a parent,” Bunnie said. “For example, I’ve helped raise Bailee since she was 7, and I think that also showed me that, hey, I’m not going to screw up a kid’s life too badly.”

“But I feel like I’ve mastered… not mastered, but I feel like I can do this. You know?” she continued. “And I just want a little piece of J and I together.”
Later in the podcast, Bunnie talked a bit about the “trauma” she went through, which included several ectopic pregnancies.
“I was pregnant three times in my life. When I was 16, I got pregnant the first time I had sex, and I ended up having an abortion because I was afraid,” she admitted. “I didn’t know what to do. I was on the run. And then after that, three years after I had an ectopic pregnancy. I had two ectopic pregnancies.”
Back in July, Bunnie revealed on the season finale of her podcast that she and her husband were thinking about having a child together.
“I would have had trouble carrying a child,” Bunnie said, sharing with him how she experienced “a lot” of pregnancy losses and couldn’t emotionally handle another loss now that she’s stabilized her mental health after a rough 2019.
“I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing left to do is raise a child and garden,” Bunnie said. “I’m in the garden with my baby and mom [sic] age.'”
When she asked Jelly Roll how he would feel if they had a child together, he said, “I’d love to have a child with you,” she recalled. This surprised her, but he said he had always felt that way.
“Now he’s like really excited [the idea of having a child]Bunnie said, explaining that he supports surrogacy.
