Advent calendars are not just for chocolate.
Burger King is skipping Thanksgiving and waiting for Christmas. The home of the Whopper has announced that it will have an Advent calendar and 31 Days of Deals this year.
The BK advent calendar is decorated with a winter village motif and is full of gifts for 12 days. The full list of items will be released in mid-November, but will include “everything from cozy comfort to holiday cheer, nods to favorites like Chicken Fries and the Whopper, and nostalgic bargains (hello, Burger King Kids Club!) to inspire unforgettable memories from vacation,” reads the press release.
The calendar, priced at $19.54 in honor of the fast-food joint’s founding year, is filled with items with a retail value of more than $100.
It goes on sale November 22, but eager fans can text ADVENT to 251-251 to get “in line” for the advent calendar as soon as it goes on sale.
Burger King superfans can also find some holiday-inspired deals this December. Rewards members have access to 31 Days of Deals: a month-long opportunity to get goodies like free food and holiday merchandise. While the exact promotions have yet to be shared, last year’s deals included free cheeseburgers and weekly $3 Whoppers.
Offers will be available to Royal Perks members on the Burger King app. There, the village seen on the BK advent calendar will come to life, and users will find daily offers in their digitized inbox. There will also be “festive activities and interactions around the village,” according to the press release.
