After his death, his ex-girlfriend shared her grief on her social media account. She wrote on Twitter,
I didn’t see his proposal until it was too late, but that doesn’t change the fact that I wasn’t there for him. “He was amazing. He taught me how to have fun, experience more, and inspired me to strive to be better than I was. He was larger than life and beyond this world.”
