Caitlin Clark Scores Major Style Points in a Custom Prada Gown with a Plunging Neckline – and Open Back!

Caitlin Clark just scored a style slam in Prada.

On Wednesday, December 11, the 22-year-old WNBA star attended the A Year in TIME New York soiree at Current at Chelsea Piers, wearing a custom dress by the luxury brand.

The Indiana Fever guard, who was just named TIMESportswoman of the Year, she wore a customized version of Prada’s embroidered sablé mini-dress, instead opting for a floor-length dress.

Her black, baggy outfit featured a plunging V-neck that upped the wow factor.

Clark wore black strappy shoes and silver and black rings and bracelets as she smiled in red carpet photos with her hands on her hips. She chose natural makeup and silver stud earrings and mini hoops.

The basketball player’s hair was pulled back with a slicked-back middle parting, adding elegance to her overall look.

When she turned to the side to show off the back of her dress, silver embellished flower straps cascaded from her shoulders to her waist. The straps ended with mini black bows.

In some photos, she was holding her pictures TIME magazine recording.

“I tell people that I feel like the most controversial person,” Clark said in her interview with the newspaper. “But I didn’t. It’s just because of all the stories that surround me. I literally try to live and treat everyone in the same respectful, kind way. It just confuses me sometimes.”

Caitlin Clark wears Prada in 2024 WNBA Draft as first overall pick by Indiana Fever

The former University of Iowa ball player made headlines when she became the first pick in the 2024 WNBA draft in April.

“You feel powerful,” Clark continued. “Immediately everyone goes crazy. People are invested in the game, they love it and that’s what makes it so much fun for me. These people don’t support women’s sports to tick a box. It will be the new normal.”

She proudly showed off her cover photos at the A Year in TIME dinner.

According to Prada’s website, the dress retails for $4,300, but Clark is a brand ambassador.

When she arrived at the 2024 WNBA Draft at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in April, she stunned in a Prada double-breasted white satin shirt and skirt ensemble.

The professional athlete wore a silver and black sparkly crop top underneath, and completed her look with a black purse and a pair of black loafers.

Ahead of the draft, Clark told The Associated Press i TODAY: “This is a dream, this is something I wrote down on a piece of paper when I was in second grade. Get a basketball scholarship. Play in the WNBA. This is something I’ve always wanted.”
