Supam Maheshwari completed his formal education from Apeejay School and went to Delhi Engineering College in 1991 to pursue his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1997, he received a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. After completing his studies, Supam Maheshwari did not choose any job but chose to become an entrepreneur.

Ltd. was co-founded by Amitava Saha and Supam Maheshwari.
In 2015, he co-founded e-commerce logistics company Xpreesbees.com with Amitava Saha.

India’s Income Tax Department launches probe into $50 million tax evasion case
According to Bloomberg, India’s Income Tax Department launched an investigation into Supam Maheshwari for failing to pay $50 million in taxes on an equity transaction in privately held FirstCry. At least six investors in FirstCry have also reportedly been summoned to face the investigation, including private equity firm ChrysCapital Management Co and the family office of Sunil Bharti Mittal. Apparently, Supam Maheshwari did not make any statement but he contacted the Indian Income Tax Department to resolve this investigation.
