Calvin Harris Brings This Unusual Item on Flights to Prevent Jet Lag: ‘I’m Surprised They Get Through Security’

Calvin Harris has a way as effective as eggs to cure his jetlag!

On Monday, the 40-year-old Scottish DJ appeared as a co-host on BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball Breakfast Show and indulged in certain foods to help him travel – although he later admitted he wasn’t quite sure whether his medication should be cleared by the TSA.

“I was on a British Airways flight just a few weeks ago and the flight attendant told me she’d never seen anyone break eggs and pour them into their mouths in their seat before,” Harris told Ball, 53. “But it was me. That’s what I do.”

The “This Is What You Came For” hitmaker then explained why he likes to fly with six eggs in his carry-on bag.

“I like to get rid of the white, so I just do raw yolk,” Harris continued. “I think you’re getting rid of jet lag.”

For listeners wondering how the producer got on board with poultry products, he was happy to explain.

“Just put them in the bag,” he said. “I’m surprised they’re going through insurance because it’s liquid to me. But it was never, ever marked.”

Egg yolks are known to provide a number of health benefits thanks to being full of B12, B2, A, folic acid and vitamin D.

And his all-natural drive may be why he’s managed to score hits while traveling the world – even though he recently announced his plans to retire.

Right after his birthday in January, Harris spoke to the Capital Dance radio show for a February interview in which he said he believes he will retire from DJing when he turns 50.

Joking that turning 40 wasn’t something he was excited about, he said he still “feels good”.

“I think you Googled antiaging supplements before that,” he added. “I’ve always said that when I get past 50, I can’t see myself DJing, man.”
