Cam Newton Daringly Leaps from a Speedboat onto a Helicopter in Incredible Special Forces Stunt

Cam Newton may have been a star on the football field, but the former NFL player is proving his mettle and readiness in other arenas in season three Special forces: the toughest test in the world.

In a clip from the latest episode shared by Panthers fan Michael Bell on X, Newton, 35 — known as “Super Cam” during his professional career — can be seen traveling on a speedboat while a helicopter hovers overhead. The ex-footballer — who never officially retired — is urged to “go, go, go, jump, let’s go” and throw himself from a moving vessel to grab onto the landing gear of a helicopter.

Despite the dangers of the task, father-of-eight Newton jumps while the other assembled contestants look on in amazement. As he manages to get out of the landing gear and into the helicopter itself, an obviously impressed Stephen Baldwin asks the others, “Did you see that? He crowded onto the helicopter!”

As Newton roars with delight at his achievement, the commander in the helicopter next to him tells him to shut up. “No screaming, no screaming,” he says.

The former NFL star was invited to step up.

After being the top pick in the 2011 draft, Newton led the Panthers to Super Bowl 50, was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 2015 and was a three-time Pro Bowler during his 11-year NFL career, per Sports Illustrated.

In the latest Special forces series, the recruits trained in Wales, the home of the British Special Forces selection, and “endured[d] the harsh reality of ocean warfare,” Fox said in a statement.
