- Camila Banus seems to have called out her ex Days of our lives castmates on social networks
- Banus said she and the producers were unable to reach amicable terms for the actress’ new contract, prompting her to leave the series
- A new star announcement comes months after another Days of our lives star, Arianne Zucker, sued the soap’s production company, Corday Productions, and co-executive producers, Ken Corday and Albert Alar, alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation
A year after she announced her exit from Days of our livescame Camila Banus, who called out her former colleagues on social networks.
In a May 15 Instagram Stories post, the 33-year-old actress — who played Gabi Hernandez on the iconic soap for 13 years — shared a scathing message criticizing the “behavior” she experienced at her “previous workplace,” according to Sapuni.com.
“I will never understand all the people at my previous workplace who are friends with snakes,” the Emmy-nominated actress wrote. “Just know this. I remember everything, I will still remember how those snakes treated me and how others allowed and perpetuated their behavior.”

“I remember a time when everyone was just silent, knowing that what was happening was wrong,” she added. “Men and women.”
According to the media release, Banus also accompanied the invitation post with a teapot and cup of tea emoji, seemingly showing that she has a lot more to share about the behind-the-scenes drama of the popular soap.
Banus first announced her departure in an interview with TheWrap announced in May 2023, telling the outlet that the series’ “changes” were a sign for her to step down from the long-running Peacock soap, which previously ran on NBC from 1965 to 2022.
“There were definitely a lot of changes in daysthe last few years, and one is moving to the Peacock,” said Banus, whose last day of filming was April 28, 2023.
“Even though it was wonderful and we had a great reception, for me I felt like it was the beginning of the changes that are happening in general,” she continued. “And I kind of saw it as a sign to start the next chapter in my life.”
Banus also stated that she was “open to renegotiating a specific shooting schedule” that allowed her more free time — “but they didn’t accept it.”

“In the beginning, it was a simple matter of saying, ‘Well, if you can’t meet these requirements, then I can’t,’ and go ahead with the new contract,” she said. “But then, you know, I talked to the producers and they called me and they said, ‘Well, what can we do?’ And honestly, I need to slow down. And part of it is, you know, you accept this shooting schedule for me, and you won’t.”
“So, you know, I have to bow respectfully and say thank you, and that’s all I can do,” she added.

Banusa’s new announcement targeting “behaviour” at a “previous place of employment” also comes months after another Days of our lives star, Arianne Zucker, sued the soap’s production company, Corday Productions, and co-executive producers, Ken Corday and Albert Alar, alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
In the new suit, the longtime soap star, 49, alleged that Alarr subjected her to “sexually harassing comments and non-consensual physical touching of a sexual nature.” According to the complaint, Zucker claimed that Alarr routinely pulled her to his chest while moaning sexually and “forcibly” touched her during dry-blocking scenes without her consent.

Among other claims, the complaint also alleged that the executive enjoyed filming aggressive scenes of sex and threesomes. And while directing Zucker in an intimate scene at DOLshe claimed he once said, “Trust me, I’d love to switch positions with you.”
In a statement to PEOPLE, Alarro’s attorney denied Zucker’s claims and said the television producer plans to fight her allegations.
“As Albert said when Ms. Zucker first made these outrageous claims to the press last year, her baseless allegations were examined in a thorough and completely independent investigation that lasted two months. Dozens of individuals cooperated and each request was thoroughly investigated. At the end of that process, a decision was made that Albert should continue as co-executive producer of Days of Our Lives,” Alarro’s attorney said in part. “Enough is enough,” their statement continued. “Every day for decades, Albert has worked with hundreds of people who can — and will – testify to the falsity of Ms. Zucker’s misdescription. We relish the opportunity to share the truth and put an end to her offensive claims once and for all.”
