Campbell ‘Pookie’ Puckett Had Surgery to Remove Pre-Cancer and Is Recovering

Campbell Puckett, known on the Internet as Pookie, started the new year with surgery to remove precancerous cells.

Her husband, Jett Puckett, gave the health update in a video posted to her Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday, January 8.

“Hey guys, I got a little different news today,” Jett said. “Pookie had to have surgery to remove a precancerous tumor. We found out about this a while ago. It was very scary, especially for me. I’m so madly in love with Campbell that the thought of anything being wrong with her is honestly more than I can bear.”

“Campbell, on the other hand, has been incredibly strong, incredibly brave about this. She just always has an incredibly strong belief that everything will work out,” he continued.

Jett said his wife’s strength leading up to the surgery was “amazing” and that her procedure “went well”.

“[The] the doctor is cautiously optimistic that we’ll be ready now,” he said.

To help her recover, Jett said he was at Chick-fil-A to pick up some of his wife’s “favorite things” and an “amazing bouquet of flowers.”

The video then shows Jett arriving at their home for Campbell to deliver his gifts while she relaxes in bed.

“I mean, I’m so proud of you, how brave and strong you were leading up to the surgery,” Jett said. “You’re just amazing, and I really admire and appreciate your faith that everything will work out. You’re just the best person I know.”

Campbell, visibly emotional, thanked him and said she was trying to “stay strong and positive” for him and their daughter Paloma, whose birth they announced in November.

The video ended with the couple thanking their followers for their continued support.

“I love you so much. Thank you, and thank you for being here. We are so grateful that you are here and that we love our family. It means everything to us,” Campbell said.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Campbell reiterated to her fans that she’s fine by posting a close-up of her hospital gown.

“Hi 🤍 I had surgery today to remove some precancerous growths. I’m doing well and resting at home. Jett takes great care of me. I value good health more than ever and am so thankful the doctors caught this early. Love you all so much,” she wrote.
