Can YOU work out how to read optical illusion message? You’ll need genius ‘brain hack’ to do it

In the 9-second video, Taylor showed a black-and-white image of long, narrow letters containing a “secret message.”

At first glance, the message appears unreadable, but Taylor promised her viewers that they would actually be able to read it.

The trick is to close one eye and tilt the phone to look at the charging port, according to the content creator.

Once the user does this, they can clearly see the words: “You’re doing great, I’m glad you exist.”

“Send a secret message to someone who needs to hear it,” Taylor concluded in the video.

What are TikTok users saying?

Since it was posted less than a day ago, the video has garnered tens of thousands of likes on TikTok.

Thousands of users also left comments below the post to share their thoughts on the optical illusion.

“Thank you! I wish you the same,” commented one user.

“OMG good job,” another person commented, adding a “shocked face” emoji to their statement.

“Wow this really worked,” chimed in a third TikTok user.

How does this optical illusion work?

In this optical illusion, the text is designed in a way that our brains usually cannot perceive.

Both the angles and the perception play a very important role so that when we tilt the phone we can perceive elongated letters.

At first glance, the letters look like long curvy lines, but after tilting our devices, the lines become shorter.

This creates an impression of depth that allows our brain to better identify and perceive letters.
