Candace Cameron Bure Shares Photo from Second Date with Husband Valeri: ‘6 Months After Our First’

Candace Cameron Bure recalls her first days with husband Valeri Bure.

The Full house star, 48, posted a throwback photo of herself and Valerio on their second date on Tuesday, May 28, as she answered how the couple met during a Q&A session with fans.

“This picture was our second date – six months after our first, taken in Fredericton, New Brunswick,” she explained in the caption on her Instagram Stories. “In the meantime, we talked on the phone because we lived in different states.”

Candace then shared that she met her ex-husband, a professional hockey player, “at a charity game in LA” and that Full house they were introduced by costar Dave Coulier.

In the photo, 22-year-old Candace was seen embracing Valerio as they posed together inside what appeared to be a hockey locker room. The new couple wore baggy sweaters while Candace had darker blonde hair and Valerie had grown out light blonde locks.

For their 22nd anniversary in 2018, Candace shared the same throwback photo on Instagram and wrote, “I love you even more today than on our wedding day. Simply because I KNOW you, 24 years in the making.”

The actress revealed the secret of her marriage to Valeri in May 2021. “The longer you’re married, the easier it is to take each other for granted. You know each other so well that you forget, so you have to be spicy,” Candace went on to say. Daily attack live. “I love it. My husband and I do. Candace and Valeri have been married since 1996. The couple met in 1994, three years after Valeri moved from his native Russia. They have three children: daughter Natasha (25) and sons Lev (24) and Maksim (22).

In February, Candace spoke with PEOPLE about attending her son Lev’s “amazing” wedding to Valerio and their family a month earlier.

“Oh my god, the whole thing was amazing,” said the mum-of-three. “I’m the groom’s mother, so it was the highlight of my whole life. It was fantastic, but I would just say the actual ceremony was so beautiful.”

“They are so in love,” Candace added of her son and new daughter-in-law Elliott Dunham.
