Blockbuster round tie sees Tottenham host Manchester City
United scored seven against Barnsley and Arsenal five against Bolton, while Chelsea and Liverpool also scored five against Barrow and West Ham respectively.
Manchester City and Tottenham pushed past Championship sides Watford and Coventry, while Fulham were eliminated by Preston in a fantastic penalty shoot-out that ended 16-15.
However, the 16 remaining teams – regardless of Newcastle’s clash with Wimbledon being postponed to make it technically 17 – have now found out who they will play against in the fourth round of fixtures.
The winner of the postponed Newcastle v Wimbledon tie will confirm their place as the 16th and final team on October 1.
And the Dons will earn a dream tie at home to Chelsea if they can stun the Toon on Tyneside.
The fourth round matches will take place in the week starting on Monday, October 28.
And there are at least four Premier League games overall, with the biggest draw of the round in which Tottenham host Man City.
Man Utd will host newly promoted Premier League side Leicester.
Arsenal, meanwhile, play away at Preston.
