Carabao Cup semi-final draw confirmed as Tottenham land horror draw and Arsenal given trophy hopes

The draw for the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup was held, and Tottenham Hotspur played a tricky game against Liverpool.

Spurs will have to topple the league leaders, while north London neighbors Arsenal face Newcastle in the other game.

Arsenal will feel they have been handed the kindest draw possible, while Spurs face a tough test against Liverpool.

The tie also means a north London derby final is a possibility if both Arsenal and Spurs win their head-to-head ties.

Spurs will certainly have their work cut out for them against high-flying Liverpool.

The first legs of the Carabao Cup semi-finals will take place in the week commencing 6 January 2025, with the return legs to follow in the week commencing 3 February 2025.

The final will be held at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 16 March.
