Cardi B Talks About Her Struggles Behind The Scenes!
Ahead of the 31-year-old Grammy winner’s performance at Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve On Sunday night, the star revealed the story on her Instagram that was “fighting” for her life.
“I’m literally fighting for my life right now,” the star told her 169 million Instagram followers. “I’m so sick. I don’t understand because when I was in New York, I went out with sweaters, toes out, everything.”
Cardi also joked that she’s “allergic to Florida,” adding that she developed a “little cough” as soon as she landed in Miami for the show.

“My breasts started to tighten,” she said in a video on Instagram. “Bro, I wrestled for three days and later I have a big performance. A huge performance. Like, okay, I realize it’s New Years, but I have a big performance and I’m fighting, I’m fighting.”

The “I Like It” rapper later shared a video of her sultry look as a stylist put the finishing touches on her hair. Wearing large diamond earrings and a matching necklace, the musician wore a black cut-out dress for the show held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
Cardi B’s appearance on the famous holiday special — hosted by Ryan Seacrest — was announced alongside LL Cool J performing with DJ Z-Trip in New York.

Along with LL Cool J and Cardi B, the live program included performances by Post Malone in Las Vegas, NewJeans in South Korea and Ivy Queen in Puerto Rico, as well as Aqua, Doechii, Ellie Goulding, Green Day, Janelle Monáe, Loud Luxury x Two Friends with Bebe Rexha, Ludacris, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Paul Russell, Reneé Rapp with Coco Jones and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
The series follows the recent news that Cardi and her husband Offset have split after five years of marriage.
The singer revealed in early December that she and 32-year-old Offset had gone their separate ways.
“I’ve been alone for a minute,” she said, according to a livestream clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper said some fans may have predicted the breakup. “I don’t know if you’ve been getting hints from me, from my lives or from my stories, when I put on some music or find my unfollow.”
A week before her statement, she and the “Need It” rapper unfollowed each other on Instagram.
After news of their split broke, a source told PEOPLE, “They are stormy. They broke up and got back together and broke up again a lot more than the public saw.”

However, the insider added: “They really had a great time together.”
