Icahn also served briefly as a special economic advisor for financial regulation in the administration of President Donald Trump (December 16 – August 17). Forbes magazine ranked Icahn as the 27th richest American in 2017.

Carl Icahn was born on February 16, 1936 to a Jewish family in Far Rockaway, Queens, a borough of New York, New York. Micheal Icahn was a singer at the local synagogue and Bella Icahn was a teacher.
Far Rockaway High School was where Icahn completed his education. He graduated in philosophy from Princeton University. Icahn also dropped out of New York University School of Medicine after two years to join the Army Reserves.
