However, others saw it spin towards the left

The TikTok channel @HecticNick proposed a question to approximately four million followers.

“Are the people on the ride spinning clockwise to the right or counterclockwise to the left?” the creator said in the video.

On the split-screen video, a viewer can see a carousel ride spinning in the distance behind trees.

He admits that it’s hard to settle on a concrete answer since it depends on one’s perception.

The TikToker asked viewers to comment on which way they saw the carousel spinning.

Users in the comment section were divided. Some users commented that they saw the carousel spinning right while others said left.

A select few said that they saw it from both perspectives.

“I see it from both perspectives,” one user said. “I saw it swinging to the right at first, but then I saw it swinging from the left.

One user thinks they may have solved the mystery behind this illusion.

“They are the same ride with one version of it on the top and another and another on the bottom,” another viewer said.

The person explained that each version shows the ride turning the opposite way.
