“Cars On The Road” Is Set To Release Soon By Disney

Pixar is producing a Cars On The Road spin-off for Disney+. On September 8, 2022, a nine-part cartoon series starring Lightning McQueen and Mater will premiere. Cable’s Owen Wilson and Larry will voice McQueen and Matero. Bonnie Hunt will star Sally Carrera, Cheech Marin Ramone, Lloyd Sherr Fillmore and Quinta Brunson Ivy. Steve Purcell wrote and produced the Cars spin-off. The Pixar series explained.

When and where to see cars on the road?

Cars On The Road will debut on Disney+ on September 8, 2022. Lightning McQueen and Mater return for nine new episodes. The streamer will launch new programs from Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, Disney and National Geographic. Fans and subscribers will get exclusive experiences. Disney+ updates at 3am ET/12am PT so fans can watch Pixar after. Since it’s made for Disney+, it won’t be on HBO, Netflix, etc.

The series follows three Cars films and two animated series, Mater’s Tall Tales (2008-2012) and Tales from Radiator Springs (2013-14). Steve Purcell (Eps 1, 2, 8), Bobby Podesta (Eps 5, 6, 9) and Brian Fee (Eps 3, 4, 7) are directing the spin-off, while Jake Monaco composed all nine episodes.

Cars On The Road trailer and expectations

The spin-off teaser showed Lightning McQueen and Mater on another journey. In addition to McQueen and Mater, several characters from Cars also appear in the series. Cars On The Road is the first TV series of the franchise. McQueen and Mater will be traveling across the US to attend Mater’s sister’s wedding. Different episodes will contain different circumstances and difficulties. Cars like dinosaurs, for example. Steve Purcell remarked, “Lightning McQueen and Mater are racing across the country. Every day is a mini-adventure with unexpected twists and turns.”

In addition to characters from the franchise, the series will feature new settings and characters. Planes (2013) and Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014) characters will reportedly appear in the next series.
