Seth Rogen and Catherine O’Hara kicked off awards season with a sneak peek at their upcoming show, Studio.
Ahead of the duo’s Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television show at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 5, a new teaser for their upcoming AppleTV+ series has been released.
In the new clip, Rogen’s character — newly appointed Hollywood studio executive Matt Remick — arrives at the Golden Globes alongside his predecessor Amy, played by Catherine O’Hara. There, Matt and Amy joke about the red carpet and the influx of faces they don’t recognize.
“Who are all these people? I don’t recognize any of them,” Matt asks the former director of Continental Studios. She jokes back, saying they are influencers. “Most of them don’t even go inside. They just do their TikToks on the red carpet and leave,” she explains, before striking an unusual pose for the flashing camera.

Disgruntled, he replies, “What the hell is happening to this town? I remember when the red carpet at the Golden Globes actually meant something.”
“Yeah, but if you don’t get these phone-grabbing fetuses to focus for anything longer than 15 seconds, this is all going the DEI department’s direction,” she retorts. As the clip draws to a close and before the show’s title card appears, Matt is heard saying, “Oh, that would be a shame.”

The upcoming series will follow Rogen’s character and “his core team of bickering executives who struggle with their own insecurities as they do battle with narcissistic artists and timid corporate overlords in the ever-elusive quest to make big movies,” according to the synopsis. “As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, Matt, it’s a job he’s been doing his whole life and it could ruin him.”

Rogen revealed that he and his co-creator, Evan Goldberg, found inspiration in their own careers in Hollywood. “Almost everything is inspired, if not directly by something that’s happened, then by feelings we’ve had or fears that have arisen about things that we hope won’t happen,” Rogen said. Vanity Fair last month.
“A lot of things were either told to us by other people or things we experienced ourselves,” he said Freak and nerds star, who also co-wrote, directed and executive produced the series with Goldberg.
Rogen and O’Hara will be joined by Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders in the new 10-episode Apple TV+ sitcom. The series will also guest star Martin Scorsese, Byran Cranston, Anthony Mackie, Adam Scott, Zack Snyder, Zoë Kravitz, Charlize Theron, Ice Cube and Olivia Wilde, per Vanity Fair.
