CBSE Board Exam 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the subject-wise distribution of marks for class 10th and 12th to help schools. The board’s circular was issued after they noticed that schools were making mistakes while uploading internal marks. The notice said, “It has been observed that schools are making mistakes while uploading marks in relation to practical/project/internal assessment. In order to assist the schools in smooth conduct of practical/project/internal assessment and conduct of theory examinations, subject list for class 10th and 12th containing the following details is enclosed with this circular.”

The CBSE added that the maximum marks allotted to the course is 100 with marks spread across theory, practical, project and internal assessment components. The details provided by the board include the information below:
- Class
- Subject code
- Subject name
- Maximum marks for the theoretical exam
- Maximum number of points on the practical exam
- Maximum marks for project evaluation
- Maximum marks for internal assessment
- Will an external examiner be appointed for the assessment?
- Will a practice book with answers be provided
- The type of answer books that will be used in theory exams
