Chad Michael Murray Wishes Wife Sarah Roemer Happy Anniversary: ‘Magic, Magic, Magic’

Chad Michael Murray and Sarah Roemer had a magical — and chaotic — anniversary!

The One Tree Hill star, 42, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share an adorable video dedicated to his actress wife, 39, in honor of their anniversary.

“So yesterday was my wife and I’s anniversary,” the video began. “Magic, magic, magic.”

“However,” he continued with a laugh. “The day was a total disaster. You ever have one of those days, don’t you, when no matter what you do, you’re just incompetent, don’t you? … Trials and tribulations pile up throughout the day, and the next thing you know, you’ve failed miserably at all the tasks you set out to accomplish. That was our day yesterday.”

Murray then described some of his and Roemer’s “trials and tribulations” for the anniversary, which included extra dog walks, a spilled bottle, heavy traffic and “baby poop.”

“But you know what, I have to follow it,” he continued. “All these things may have happened, but I wouldn’t rather spend that time with anyone but my wife.”

“I love you, mom,” he ended the video with a wink.

In the title, Crazy Friday star continued her tribute, writing: “Happy anniversary mom:) ❤️ I love you and I love our journey together with our joyful little pack. 🐺.”

He continued: “Even when the dishwasher breaks, I get caught in traffic, I run out of granola for breakfast, we can’t find the right [clothes] for children, Google Maps tells us that the company exists, but when we arrive, we realize that Google Maps needs updating, the kids are tired little beans, it’s raining, cats and dogs, homework needs to be done, lines need to be memorized, the dog needs to be walked, the house is exploded, but amongst all this incredible glorious chaos- I can see you❤️ Truly blessed. 🙏🙌.”

“PS – the part with the baby poo might have happened on another day, but it was very good to leave it out,” he added. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you how it happened😂😂😂.”

Murray and Roemer’s “little pack” consists of three children — two sons, ages 8 and 6, and a one-month-old daughter — whose names and faces the couple chose to keep secret.

The couple also share a golden retriever named Jett – a pup who needed extra walks on their anniversary – who they adopted in October 2021.

The paths of the acting couple met for the first time during the filming of their series selectedwhich debuted in 2013. In January 2015, they announced that they were married and expecting their first child together.

“Chad and Sarah are extremely happy and excited and enjoying their life together,” Murray’s rep told PEOPLE at the time.

Soon after, Murray said Hey! News that he is a “romantic” and a “family guy”.

“I want that core,” he told the socket. “I try to keep everything quiet. I love my life. That’s the part I keep to myself.”

While both Murray and Roemer keep their lives relatively private, the actor doesn’t shy away from showering his wife with love on social media.

On Mother’s Day 2022, Murray paid a heartfelt tribute to his wife with a photo of the pair smoking hot.

“Wifo – The world has become brighter and brighter since the day you entered it,” he began the post. “You spread that light through our little pack. For me, growing up with [a] a single father for most of my life, I never truly understood the importance of a mother until I had the honor of watching you carry this family on your back from the moment our son was born.”

He continued: “Your heart lights up our world. Our babies know how lucky they are to have you as their mom. I love you a lot🌹 We love you a lot.”

“Thank you very much for being the Man, Woman, Wife and Mother that you are,” he wrote. “Happy Mother’s Day Sarah – our superwoman mom ♥️🦸‍♀️.”
