His father’s name is Prabhakara Rao Jonnalagadda, who is the Inspector General of Police of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. His grandfather Venkateswarlu Jonnalagadda worked as a signal inspector. Chaitanya is very close to his cousin Deepu.

He got engaged to Telugu actress Niharika Konidela on 13 August 2020. The engagement ceremony was attended by prominent celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan. He married Niharika Konidela on Wednesday, 9 December 2020, in a grand ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Udaipur.
In July 2023, Niharika announced her divorce from Chaitanya on Instagram.

After obtaining his MBA, he started his internship at Regency Ceramics in Yanam in 2010. Subsequently, he started working at Surya Ray Elixirs Pvt Ltd. as a Corporate Relations Executive in 2011 where he worked for three months. He then worked as a Project Intern at GMR Group for almost a year. In 2013, he joined Blaze Automation as a Business Development Manager in Hyderabad. After working there for 4 months, he worked as a Business Development Manager at ProcessWeaver Inc for more than three and a half years. He joined KPMG in Hyderabad as an Assistant Manager in 2017 and started his own company “The Hurricanes” in 2018. In 2019, he joined Tech Mahindra in Hyderabad.
