Personal life of Mahmood Yakubu
Professor Mahmood Yakubu was born in Bauchi State in 1962. Mr. Yakubu completed his secondary education at the State Teachers College, Toro after completing his primary education at Kobi Primary School. He then enrolled at Usmanu Danfodiyo University. Yakubu is the first and to date the only Nigerian from the north to achieve a first class degree in history.
He also holds a graduate degree in international relations from Wolfson College. In addition, after completing the Ph.D. he graduated from the University of Oxford in 1991.
