dispute

She was heavily criticized by the public and the Ambedkar Sena (which works for the welfare of the Scheduled Caste community). Later, she apologized and said that her intention was not to hurt any community.
- She attempted suicide by drinking phenylpropanol liquid at her home in Kolar, Karnataka at 5 am on April 8, 2021. While investigating the entire incident, the local police found that the parents of Chaithra’s husband (Nagarjuna) were against their marriage and ended their marriage on the day of their wedding.
Nagarjuna said that he did not want to marry Chaithra and that it was Chaithra who forced him to marry her. On the other hand, Chaitra said:
They beat my brother and assaulted and injured my elderly parents. They humiliated our family in public. When I went to the police station to file a complaint, his brothers-in-law came to me and asked me to give them two days so that they could sit down and discuss with the family later. I agreed, but they betrayed me and broke their promise by filing a complaint with the police without my knowledge. This double game frustrates me.”
Before she attempted suicide, she made a video accusing her husband of hurting her.
