Chalaki started his career as an Account Executive at Tata Teleservices in Hyderabad, Telangana. He also worked as a part-time parody artist at Hussain Sagar Tourism Boat Rides. Later, he worked as a manager in a hotel. Later, he started working as an RJ at Radio Mirchi and hosting the radio show “Chanti Bank”.

Quit TV show three times
Shanti came to the limelight with his TV comedy show ‘Jabardastth’, however, he left the show three times. During the interview, when the reporter asked him the reason behind it. He said,
The reason my name didn’t come up was because of Jabardast. I came to the Jabbadas Film Festival, where I shot the film. I went to see Jabardastth perform three times. If anyone goes out, they will not be brought back to the show. These are their rules. But they respect me. Because I never said I missed anyone. No matter what happens…no matter what question comes up…they ask right away. Everyone knows this. At one point I said I would take three months off. I felt a headache after doing it continuously, so I took a rest. The second time I went with my personal issues. For the third time, 27 days of filming were included in the U.S. schedule. I’m not qualified to talk about anyone. “
He also revealed that he once got into a big fight with the show’s team because they were paying him less. He had a bitter dispute with the producers, and he decided to quit the show.

On June 18, 2019, he encountered another accident on his way back to Hyderabad when his car hit a truck on National Highway 64 in Komalabandha village of Koda district in Telangana state. He suffered multiple injuries in the accident and was rushed to a hospital in Koda for treatment.
