Daniel shared a photo of himself with Lauren on his Instagram story at the bowling alley just two weeks ago.

He captioned the post: “Fun date on Friday.”

Officers opened a homicide investigation this week when the couple’s bodies were discovered in the home at 12:30 p.m.

The couple has not yet been officially identified.

Daniel was a paramedic and star of Channel 4’s 999: On the Front Line – which follows emergency crews as they respond to calls.

Duffield appeared in the eleventh series of the series, which followed the ambulance crews of the West Midlands.

Lauren was a student mental health nurse from Bridgend, South Wales.

The pair were believed to be in a relationship and their social media accounts were full of pictures of the pair together.

His latest post showed the couple outside Wembley Stadium for the Capital Summertime Ball.

Another post by Daniel, featuring a collage of pictures of them together, was captioned: “Gratitude post. For always being there, supporting me! Thank you for everything, I adore you.”

Tributes have since poured in on social media, with many paying tribute to the family.

Daniel’s co-star and co-star Ellie posted a tribute on social media following his “tragic” death.

She said, “Dan, I can’t believe you’re actually gone. I never in a million years thought I’d have to sit and write this, and yet I’m still trying to come to terms with it.”

She revealed that she had spoken to Daniel just hours before his death.

She added: “We were supposed to go out together this week and I was looking forward to seeing you. Even the phone call we had this morning an hour before you [were] gone i will never forget i love you forever dan.”

Police statement in full

Our investigation into a murder investigation in Hednesford is continuing after two people were found dead in a house.

We were alerted by our colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service who were at Alpine Drive in Hednesford at around 12.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 June).

Unfortunately, a woman and a man were found dead inside.

Official identification has yet to be carried out but we believe they are both 22-year-old Lauren Evans from Bridgend, South Wales, and 24-year-old Daniel Duffield from Cannock.

A team of specially trained officers continues to support their families at this difficult time.

We have referred the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to recent contact with the police.

A number of police officers are still in the area today investigating to find out more about what happened.

The resident claimed that the incident shocked the residents of the area.

He added: “I’ve been here for 30 years, I know most of the tenants in the street, but I don’t know them.

“I just know it’s a young couple. It’s shocking, it’s quiet here.

The 74-year-old woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I’ve been here for 40 years, some of my neighbors too.

– We have never experienced anything like this.

“It’s shocking, it’s something you’d see on TV, it’s horrible.

“You don’t expect to see that across the road. I feel sorry for the family.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service said Duffield was employed by the trust at its center in Willenhall, the BBC reported.

Staffordshire Police made a referral to a police watchdog regarding a recent contact.
