Channing Tatum finds some humor in the repetitive travel experience.
The Blink twice star, 44, opened up about how one of his famous movie lines is from 22 Jump Street turned into a meme and is followed everywhere — even airport security — during an interview with CinemaBlend and his co-star Naomi Ackie on August 21.
“It’s weird what happens in pop culture like that, you know? Same with ‘My name is Jeff.’ It’s such a small moment in the movie,” he says of the 2014 comedy. “I remember we used to do a table read and it wasn’t even that funny at a table read. It was like whatever. And all of a sudden, man.”
Ackie then chimes in: “It shows you can’t try to be a meme. You just have to be, and then if the meme comes, the meme comes.”

Tatum goes on to talk about how the famous quote is brought up when going through security at the airport.
“I’ve never gone through TSA without someone saying, ‘My name is Jeff,'” he says. “Almost every time I go through TSA.”

Earlier in August, the actor opened up about another funny travel story — but this time it stemmed from his 11-year-old daughter’s love of the paranormal.
During the performance at Late Night with Seth MeyersTatum recalled taking his daughter Everly, who he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, on a trip to Salem, Mass., because she was “obsessed” with witches.
“She wanted to go to Salem for maybe the last seven years of her life,” he said of the New England town known for its infamous witch trials. “And we get there, and I say, ‘Maybe this will be one of those moments where she says, ‘Oh, it’s not what I thought.’ you know?”
He continued: “It’s like the idea of going to Egypt and thinking that there are only mummies walking around all the time. And I thought, ‘Maybe she’ll just be, like, less hypnotized.'”

Despite his hope, Tatum said his daughter really was “prone” to all the spooky activity after they arrived, including during their stay at the “haunted” Hawthorne Hotel in Salem.
The historic landmark was established in 1925 and appeared on a classic TV show Enchantedaccording to its website. It is known for its paranormal activity, as guests have reported furniture moving on its own, as well as seeing a female figure on the sixth floor, according to Historic Hotels of America.

“They said, ‘Don’t go to the third or sixth floor,'” Tatum recalled of the warning from hotel staff at the time. Although the actor was fully prepared to take their advice, he said Everly couldn’t stay away from the haunted floor.
“My daughter said, ‘Let’s go up just a little bit. Like, we just go up and walk up the stairs and, like, look for a second and then run back,’ he said.
“No. I’m not about that. I’m saying, ‘Go up,'” Tatum told host Seth Meyers, shaking his head emphatically.
