Chappell Roan is drawing attention to the attention she has received since becoming famous.

On Monday, Aug. 19, the singer-songwriter shared two clips on TikTok explaining her decision to sometimes turn down photo shoots and spend time with fans who might think they’re “entitled” to certain things because of her celebrity status.

“I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing for people who are famous or not famous,” Roan (real name Kayleigh Amstutz), 26, said in one video.

“I don’t care that it’s normal. I don’t care that this crazy behavior comes with the job, [or] the career field I chose. That doesn’t make it OK. That doesn’t make him normal. That doesn’t mean I want it. It doesn’t mean I like it,” she insisted.

Her post came after the musician shared another video asking fans more questions. “If you saw a random woman on the street, would you yell at her from the car window? Would you harass her in public?” she said to the camera.

Roan continued: “Would you walk up to a random lady and say ‘Can I take a picture with you?’ And she’s like ‘No, what the fuck?’ And then you get mad at this random lady, would you be offended if she says no to your time because she has her time?”
