Charli xcx and Troye Sivan Each Make Steamy Hookup Plans on 'Talk Talk' Remix — Featuring a Dua Lipa Cameo

Charli xcx dropped the latest on September 12th Brat remix of the album’s track “Talk Talk” with her longtime friend and Sweat Tour co-headliner Troye Sivan — both looking to make couple plans to hook up on the song’s lyrics.

The remix — which arrives two days before the two artists’ Sweat Tour kicks off in Detroit — also features a cameo appearance from Dua Lipa, who can be heard speaking in Spanish and French, respectively, at the beginning and end in a nod to the original. song text. (“Talk to me in French / Talk to me in Spanish / Talk to me in your own made-up language / It doesn’t matter if I understand it,” sings Charli.)

Many of Charla’s original “Talk Talk” lyrics remain on the new version, but she adds her own NSFW verse: “You’re thinkin’ ’bout me / No, don’t pretend that you aren’t / We’re still obsessed as if we just met / And when you fuck me, it’s crazy.”

Closing the song, Lipa says, “J’ai perdu mon téléphone mais tu sais quoi? Ça valait la peine parce que c’était une soirée de fou.” The phrases translate into English as: “I lost my phone, but you know what? It was worth it because it was crazy fun.”

In a September 11 Instagram post, Charli, 32, announced the remix and revealed the artwork, which was captured by her friend and photographer Terrence O’Connor.

O’Connor — who recorded the cover for Charli’s “Guess” remix and Collapse album — also appeared alongside her and Sivan, 29, in the “One of Your Girls” singer’s post teasing the “Talk Talk” remix. He unveiled the new collaboration on September 10 with a clip of him, Charli and O’Connor dancing to the track on Instagram.

As the trio dance, Sivan sings about the NSFW details of the hotel meeting. He referenced the explicit text in his caption, writing, “got a good hotel for WHAT in 🤨.”

The remix of “Talk Talk” — the original version of which is about an interaction Charli had with her now-fiancé, George Daniel of The 1975 — also features another pop star, .

Charli first revealed that Lipa would be joining her and Sivan on the remix in an Instagram Story post, where she wrote: “Also thank you @dualipa for speaking French and Spanish on the song!”
