Charli xcx ‘In a Lot of Pain’ After Suffering Nerve Damage from Touring: ‘Hell Hole’

The tour took a toll on Charli xcx’s body.

In an interview with Diversity released Wednesday, Dec. 4, the “Club Classics” singer opened up about how difficult it was to perform during her latest joint tour, Sweat, with Troye Sivan.

“I find the tour to be really emotionally difficult,” the 32-year-old told the newspaper.

“I find the stage — especially these days — a very angry place for me,” she continued. “I’ve done a lot of physical damage to my body during performances and I’m often in a lot of pain while performing. Physically, I have nerve damage in my neck from the things I did on stage.”

“To put on a performance that I think is good enough, I have to really push myself physically – and that makes me really upset when I do that,” she added. “So it’s kind of this hell hole.”
