Charlie Sheen will celebrate Christmas with his sons.
The actor, 58, tells PEOPLE that he plans to spend the holidays in a “pretty quiet” way with his 14-year-old twins Max and Bob.
“We’re not one of those families who plan to go skiing or take a tropical trip. We don’t have 30 relatives flying in. No, it’s quite peaceful, quite traditional, very sensible, very comfortable,” he says. “It’s very pleasant. I feel sorry for the people who experience so much stress during the holidays.”

Sheen shares his sons with ex-wife Brooke Mueller. He is also the father of daughters Sami (19) and Lola (18), both of whom he has with ex-wife Denise Richards, and 39-year-old Cassandra Jade Estevez, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Paula Speert.
He tells PEOPLE that his sons are “really cool, really smart and a lot of fun” and that his fame doesn’t bother them. “It doesn’t matter, whatever we do, and it could be important and related to our work or some high moment of responsibility, the children don’t care”, Two and a half Men says the star.

“The other day I was in the dentist’s chair getting a filling replaced, and Max came up to me and asked me if I had a gift card for a game he wanted to buy on my phone,” she recalls. “It’s like, when has he ever seen me walking around with a gift card? I don’t game! I’m not even remotely connected to the gaming world, other than trying to manage and monitor their time doing it.”
Besides gaming, he told PEOPLE that Max plays guitar and that Bob won a horror movie directing contest when he was 8, noting that “they like some cool stuff that’s not just Fortnite.”

As for what’s to come in the new year, he says he’s ready to start acting again after playing himself in two episodes of Chuck Lorre’s sitcom Bookmaker.
“I am absolutely ready. For a long time I had the best work reputation. I was the first to arrive, the last to leave, when in doubt, I would over-prepare,” he says. “I would just check every freaking box. And it was gone. I was so excited to be that guy again.”
