Charlotte faced their friends and family members without him as she made the difficult decision to go ahead rather than cancel the event.
The Ex on the Beach star, who is also mother to their son Noah, vowed to put her pain aside and give Jude his best day.
A source told The Sun: “It was very important for Charlotte to give her son Jude a wonderful first birthday, despite what she revealed on the day.
“She is an amazing mother, who always put her two sons before everything else.
“Jude’s party was a real example of how she did it and showed everyone how brave she is.”
Charlotte started the day by bringing in a make-up artist, dressing up glamorously and styling her hair in bouncy curls.
She wore an elegant baby blue off-the-shoulder lace dress paired with bow-embellished blue heels.
All ready to party, she showed off the stunning set to fans with a baby blue, white and gold balloon garland wrapped around a sign that read: “The Story of Jude’s First Birthday.”
She decorated the place with cartoon-like signposts, plants, haystacks and a lovely balloon arch that leads to a mini slide.
On the other side was a playground with a small ball court and toys, overlooking a stunning field that stretched for acres.
The spacious venue was then welcomed by a crowd of children, along with Charlotte’s family and friends.
Among the guests was Helen Flanagan who posed with Charlotte’s son Jude.
With plenty of food, a two-tiered birthday cake, music and live entertainment featuring a fur-suited rabbit and other Disney characters, guests were sure to have a blast.
It came after her friends claimed rugby league player Matt sent intimate and “dirty” messages to a mystery woman – leaving his relationship in tatters.

Charlotte has been engaged to her partner Matt since September 2020.
She has two sons with Matt, Noah and Jude.
A source close to Charlotte told the Mirror: “Of course friends are angry that Charlotte has been publicly humiliated by Matt’s actions.
“Such behavior affects the whole family, especially their two young sons.
“She was completely blindsided by these revelations.
“It is too little to say that she is hurt and it is unclear what kind of relationship she is in at the moment.
“At the moment Charlotte is trying to understand his actions.
“She’s always been there for Matt, despite some ups and downs in their relationship, and Matt isn’t just her fiance, he’s her best mate, so this news was a very hard pill to swallow.”
