Simone Biles goes out with a dazzling bang.
For her final competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the star gymnast, 27, wore a sparkling red, white and blue leotard covered in more than 5,000 crystals.
The leotard features a red and blue ombre bodice with art nouveau inspired lace with flames and diamond Swarovski crystals on the center front chest. There was also a corset detail on the back and more lace.
Biles wore a patriotic GK Elite leotard for the floor event, where she took home the silver medal — her 11th career Olympic medal — and her teammate Jordan Chiles took home the bronze. Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade won gold.

During all of her competitions, she and the rest of Team USA showed off the beautiful leotards created for them by GK Elite. For the team competition on July 30, all five members of the team (which also includes Jade Carey, Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera) wore the Go for the Glory design where they took home the team gold.

“They really are evening looks,” said Jeanne Diaz, design director of GK Elite The New York Times. “We wanted to rely so much on Paris, the world capital of fashion. So we used a lot of haute couture elements, looked at a lot of bodices, Art Nouveau architecture, old Hollywood glamor of the 1920s.”

Team competition is the only time when all gymnasts must wear the same leotard. The all-around and individual events are up to them to choose which jersey they want to wear — and GK Elite provided Team USA with eight sparkling options this year.
During the women’s qualifier on July 28, she wore the Star Spangled Shine design, which features a star pattern and 6,359 crystals in six colors: garnet, brilliant, gold, turquoise shimmer, metallic gold and periwinkle. It also featured an iridescent plate on the bottom for even more sparkle.

For her vault final, where she won another gold medal, Biles chose a Patriotic Poise leotard. The fiery red number featured 3,600 ruby and garnet Swarovski crystals scattered across the stretchy satin material, including an interlocking pattern on the front. It also had a cut out back and a high neckline.
