She completed her education from DLF School in Ghaziabad and went to Miranda House, Delhi University to pursue a music degree. She has had a keen interest in music since she was a child. When she was 6 years old, her mother enrolled her in a music class to learn Indian classical music. She won several singing competitions during her school days. She studied music from Aruna Sarkar, Amrita Dutta Mazumdar and Pt. Bora Nath Mishra.
