Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Was Surprised with In-N-Out Burgers Right After His Super Bowl Victory

A meal of champions? In-N-Out burgers, of course.

After a 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid went home with not only a championship, but a meal fit for a champion.

Like actor Paul Giamatti — who went viral earlier this year for celebrating his 2024 Golden Globes win at In-N-Out Burger — Reid, 65, also walked away from his sweet win with the West Coast chain’s burgers.

During his postgame interview with Chris Berman, Booger McFarland and Andy’s wife Tammy Reid, Berman surprised the coach — a vocal hamburger lover — with a very special gift: a box of In-N-Out (with all the fixings) .

In a clip of the chat shared by ESPN, Berman, 68, ended the interview by mysteriously reaching under his desk to grab a box full of burgers from the restaurant chain – which Andy has previously expressed his affection for.

“You don’t have to eat it on set, that’s up to you,” Berman told the coach, adding, “You can take it with you, but you don’t leave the ESPN set empty-handed.”

After grabbing Berman’s hand, Andy joked, “The sad thing is, I smell onions.”

“That’s a bad sign,” he added with a laugh, and the commentator wittily replied, “That’s why you’re so ubiquitous as a coach…go enjoy the snacks.”

The barbecue main meal was an especially fitting celebratory meal for the coach, who revealed elsewhere in an ESPN interview that the game-winning play was a spin on the team’s “corn dog” play — which led them to victory in last year’s Super Bowl.

“We had a corn dog last year and it was… a corn dog with a little bit of mustard and ketchup,” Andy revealed.

He also celebrated the Chief’s historic win with good food and star tight end Travis Kelce.

After the game, Kelce, 34, and his girlfriend Taylor Swift danced the night away at an afterparty at XS Nightclub in Wynn Las Vegas — where they also ate chicken fingers and fries.
