Israel’s Zaka rescue service says its paramedics have removed about 260 bodies from the Sukkot music festival in southern Israel.

Just hours before the gunmen broke through the barricade into Israel, Jake Marlowe, 26, texted his mum saying rockets were flying overhead and promised to keep in touch.

The UK national was working security at a peace music festival near the border and had not been heard from since Saturday morning.

Early Saturday morning he said: “The signal is very bad, everything is fine, I will keep you posted, I promise. I love you.”

Horrified mum Lisa told the Jewish News: “Yesterday he was in charge of security at this rave and he called me at 4.30am to say there were all these rockets flying overhead.

“Then, around 5.30am, he texted ‘the signal is very bad, everything is fine, I’ll keep you posted, I promise’ and that he loves me.

“I left him a lot of WhatsApp messages, but I couldn’t leave him a message… I can’t stand hearing the phone just ring and no one answers.”

A total of 700 Israelis were killed and 2,048 injured in the fighting over the weekend.

It comes after the Palestinian health ministry said 413 people had been killed in Israeli airstrikes following a surprise attack by Hamas.

The vast majority were in the Gaza Strip, where 2,200 were also wounded.

Hundreds of other participants of the music festival are missing, and many have been kidnapped and taken to Gaza.

Terrifying footage shows festival-goers fleeing on foot and in cars for their lives as gunfire echoes across the dusty field.

A witness, Gili Yoskovich, described how people were “dying everywhere” as she remained silent in a desperate attempt to avoid the hail of bullets from the terrorist group.

One participant, 30-year-old German tattoo artist Shani Louk, was killed and her naked body paraded through the streets by Hamas.

Ricardo’s mum said in a heartbreaking video: “We were sent a video where I could clearly see our daughter unconscious in a car with Palestinians and them driving around the Gaza Strip. Please send us any help or any news.”

25-year-old Noa Argamani was filmed screaming for help as she was abducted from a music festival by armed men on a motorcycle.

She pleaded, “Don’t kill me! No, no, no,” as the men chased after her.

Photos later emerged showing Noah alive in Hamas custody inside Gaza City’s borders.

Videos from the music event show people dancing in the desert at dawn unaware that complete chaos will ensue within minutes.

The death toll in the conflict has risen from around 300 Israelis to nearly 600, many of whom are believed to have attended the festival.

Unverified photos circulating on Twitter show piles of bodies in a tent near the site of the massacre.

Israel’s Zaka rescue service said at least 260 bodies had been recovered.

OSINTdefendera respected open intelligence source with thousands of followers, reported that more than 250 bodies had been found.

Many of the missing and dead from the music festival are rumored to be foreign nationals, including Americans, Germans, Canadians and Norwegians, although this remains unverified.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that Americans were killed in Hamas attacks, and more are missing – potentially kidnapped and taken to Gaza.

It comes as…

  • Hamas terrorists launched an all-out attack on Israel from land, air and sea with 5,000 rockets fired
  • Up to 700 Israelis were confirmed dead while thousands more were taken to hospital
  • The Palestinian Authority said at least 413 civilians were killed in retaliatory Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip this evening
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement that Gaza will be “turned into ruins”
  • There have been reports of kidnapped Israeli soldiers parading in military vehicles
  • British citizen Jake Marlowe was reported missing after attending a music festival in southern Israel
  • Netanyahu mobilized the country’s military reserves after his declaration of war
  • Palestinian Islamic Jihad has joined forces with Hamas fighters to attack Israel

A British national, Nathanel Young, was also killed after fierce fighting broke out when Hamas stormed the border with a hail of 5,000 rockets.

The London-born soldier lived in Tel Aviv and served as a member of the 13th Battalion of the Israeli army.

In a heartbreaking statement, his family said: “He loved his family and friends and everyone loved him.

“He loved music and was a talented DJ. Always willing to do anything for his loved ones.”

Earlier today, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu warned that the first part of the war was over and that an “offensive formation” would begin.

Israel has confirmed that Hamas is holding civilians and soldiers hostage near the border with Gaza.

Some experts suggest that the hostages could be used as bargaining chips in exchange for prisoners held in Israeli jails.

Senior Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri said his forces have enough Israeli prisoners to force the release of about 5,000 Palestinian prisoners.
